MegaMallOnline is a fast-growing eCommerce retailer offering a wide range of products to customers across South Africa. We are seeking an experienced, results-driven General Manager to lead our operations, drive growth, and oversee all aspects of our online business.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the overall operations of the eCommerce business
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to increase sales, profitability, and market share
  • Oversee Operations, Customer Service, Marketing, Logistics, Procurement, Finance, and IT
  • Manage budgets, forecasts, and financial performance
  • Monitor and improve key performance indicators (KPIs) across the business
  • Drive customer acquisition, retention, and overall customer satisfaction
  • Ensure efficient order fulfillment, inventory management, and supplier relationships
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and business expansion
  • Recruit, develop, and motivate high-performing teams
  • Provide regular performance reports and recommendations to company directors

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years' senior management experience in eCommerce, retail, or a related industry
  • Proven track record of managing business operations and delivering revenue growth
  • Strong leadership and people-management skills
  • Excellent financial, analytical, and strategic planning abilities
  • Experience with eCommerce platforms, digital marketing, and online sales operations
  • Strong understanding of logistics, inventory management, and customer service
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Commerce, Marketing, or a related field preferred

Key responsibilities

  • Upload and manage product listings across Shopify and online marketplaces
  • Write and update product titles, descriptions, specifications, and pricing
  • Maintain accurate stock levels and product information
  • Assist with order processing, tracking, and customer queries
  • Help manage promotions, website updates, and marketplace campaigns
  • Monitor listing quality and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Support the team with administrative and operational tasks

Requirements

  • Matric certificate or equivalent
  • Strong computer literacy, especially Excel and online systems
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Previous e-commerce, retail, or admin experience is advantageous

Advantageous skills

  • Experience with Shopify, Takealot, Amazon, or other online sales platforms
  • Basic understanding of digital marketing and SEO
  • Canva or basic graphic design experience

We're looking for an ace employee to assist in our warehouse, keeping the flow of distribution moving and keeping our customers happy. This means you are well versed in the process of picking and packing allocated orders daily in a warehouse environment. You have great attention to detail, and you are able to see the bigger picture and make decisions on the go.

Responsibilities

  • Picking, packing, counting and checking stock to ensure correct inventory counts
  • Conduct quality assurance checks on all incoming and outgoing stock products
  • Manage multiple tasks and communicate with various departments simultaneously
  • Maintaining impeccable merchandising of shelves
  • Perform ad-hoc or cross-sector duties in any way required by manager
  • Ensure that housekeeping is performed daily and your work area kept optimal and clean
  • Reporting to and working with the floor supervisors and managers on any issues that arise as well as day-to-day requirements
  • Ensure that the health and safety protocols of the company and OHS Act are adhered to in your area of responsibility and workplace

Experience and qualifications

  • Matric
  • Experience in a warehouse environment
  • Sound analytical, organising, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong affiliation to systems, utilising them to increase productivity in line with the business strategy
  • Proficient in basic computer skills
