Return & Refund Policy

We want you to be satisfied with your purchase. Please read the policy below carefully, as it outlines when returns or refunds are accepted and the conditions that apply.

1. Refund Eligibility

Our refund policy is valid for 30 days from the date of purchase, unless otherwise stated below. If 30 days have passed, we unfortunately cannot offer a refund, except where required by the Consumer Protection Act of South Africa (CPA).

Refunds will only be considered under the following circumstances:

  • The item was damaged, broken, or unusable at the time of delivery
    (Photographic evidence is required, and issues should be reported within 48 hours of receipt)
  • You received an incorrect item due to an error on our part

Sale or discounted items may only be returned if they are:

  • Defective
  • Damaged upon delivery
  • Incorrectly supplied

Refunds will not be accepted for:

  • Items ordered incorrectly by the customer
  • Items showing signs of use, overuse, alteration, or damage not caused during delivery
  • Buyer’s remorse outside the conditions outlined below

Defective electronic items may be subject to technical inspection or testing before a refund, repair, or replacement is approved.


2. Buyer’s Remorse / β€œChanged My Mind” Returns

β€œChanged my mind” or buyer’s remorse returns will only be considered within 7 days of delivery, and only if the item is:

  • Unused
  • In its original packaging
  • In resalable condition
  • Complete with all accessories, manuals, and documentation

Requests submitted after 7 days for reasons such as:

  • β€œI no longer want it”
  • β€œI thought it looked different”
  • β€œIt’s bigger/smaller than expected”
  • β€œI found another product”

will not qualify for a refund or return unless the item is defective or incorrectly supplied by us .


3. Non‑Returnable Products

Certain products are non‑returnable once opened, installed, assembled, or used due to hygiene, safety, or product‑integrity reasons. These include, but are not limited to:

  • Hygiene products
  • Underwear
  • Custom‑made, made‑to‑order, or bulk orders

4. Inspection Upon Delivery

Customers are strongly encouraged to inspect items upon delivery.

  • Any damage, missing items, or incorrect products must be reported within 48 hours of receipt, together with clear photographs.
  • Claims submitted after this period may not be eligible for review.

5. Refund Request Process

To request a refund, please email customerservice@megamallonline.store with:

  • Full name
  • Order number
  • Item(s) for which a refund is requested
  • Reason for the return
  • Supporting photographs (and videos where applicable)

Once your request is received:

  • We will acknowledge receipt via email
  • We will notify you of approval or rejection after review

Mega Mall Online reserves the right to request additional information or evidence to assess any claim.

Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 5–10 business days, subject to bank or payment provider timelines.


6. Returns – Customer Responsibility

Where a return is approved:

  • The customer is fully responsible for returning the item to our office
  • Items must be returned in original packaging, including all accessories and documentation
  • Items must be unused, undamaged, and complete
  • Return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility

We reserve the right to reject any return if the item:

  • Is not in its original packaging
  • Shows signs of use, overuse, alteration, or damage
  • Is returned incomplete

7. Refused Deliveries

For large or bulky items (e.g. treadmills):

  • If delivery is refused for reasons unrelated to defects or incorrect supply, delivery refusal fees and return transport costs may apply.
  • These costs may be deducted from any approved refund.

8. Restocking Fees

  • Approved returns of non‑defective items may be subject to a restocking and handling fee of up to 25%
  • Original delivery , assemble fee & handling fees are non‑refundable

9. Exchanges

  • Exchanges are subject to stock availability
  • If an exchange item is unavailable, a Megamall voucher will be offered

10. Product Availability & Fulfilment Delays

  • All products are subject to availability
  • Some items may ship from alternative warehouses, which may affect delivery timelines

In cases where an item is unavailable after purchase, an alternative will be offered if not accepted by customer a full refund will be issued within a reasonable timeframe.


11. Customer Responsibility for Product Information

Customers are responsible for reviewing all product information before placing an order, including:

  • Product descriptions
  • Specifications
  • Dimensions and sizing
  • Compatibility details
  • Colour and variant selections

Mega Mall Online will not be held liable for incorrect assumptions made by the customer regarding product size, appearance, suitability, or functionality where this information was clearly provided.

12. Late or Missing Refunds

If you have not received an approved refund:

  1. Check your bank account
  2. Contact your credit card provider
  3. Contact your bank (processing times may vary)

Mega Mall Online reserves the right to refuse refunds or returns where abuse of the returns policy is suspected, including repeated or unreasonable claims.
